First annual Clarence W. Wolfe, PM Memorial Award

Mount Lebanon Lodge #226, Free & Accepted Masons honored one of their members for his dedication and commitment to Freemasonry and their local lodge. Brother Richard R. Long was the recipient of the first annual Clarence W. Wolfe, PM Memorial Award for dedication to Freemasonry.

Brother Long’s Lebanon Masonic affiliations include Mount Lebanon Lodge #226 where he currently serves as Chaplain, Weidle Royal Arch Chapter #197, Lebanon Council #27 and Hermit Commandery #24 where he currently serves as Prelate. Additionally, he is a member of Tall Cedars, Quittapahilla Forest No. 45, Scottish Rite: Valley of Harrisburg and Raja Shrine, Reading.

Brother Long spent four years in the U.S. Military, serving two years in the Navy and 2 years in the Marines. He is retired from RCA/GE and the Pharmacy Department of the VA Medical Center. He has accumulated over 5,800 of volunteer service at the VA Medical Center in Lebanon. He is a member of the Marine Corp League, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Navy Club Ship #91 and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He is past president of Governor Heister Lodge, Sons of the American Revolution. He is very active member of the Elks serving as Past Exalted Ruler and present Chaplain of the Lebanon Elk Lodge #631. Also, he is Vice Chairman of the Veterans Committee of PA Elks and is a member of the Elks National Veterans Committee.

He has been married to his wife, Barbara for 60 years. Together they have one daughter and four grandchildren.
